Patti Murin to Star in TARZAN "Tour"

Heard from a reliable source today that Patti Murin (the much beloved Kira cover in XANADU) will star as Jane Porter in the spring "tour" of TARZAN being produced by Atlanta's Theater of the Stars.

The production will open in Atlanta in January, followed by stops at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts in San Jose in February, the Progress Energy Center in Raleigh in March, and the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dalas in April.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

I loved Patti, in the Kira role, more than Kerry!

Congrats Patti.

Yes, but a completely new, revamped production. I personally cannot wait. On broadway it was a hot mess, but had it's moments (aka, the beginning).

You are probably just friends with the Young Tarzan in it.

What did I do to you? Oh right, NOTHING. Don't think you have actual leverage, or what you say matters. This is a thread for TARZAN, not for you to ridicule, you imbecilic child.

But back on topic, congratulations Patti!!!! Such a wonderful woman!!!!!

Well, that solves the mystery as to whether or not that's a tour in San Jose.

Patti's birthday is also tomorrow, born Sept. 28, 1980* ... ummm 1980 - I do believe that was "the year all inspiration left the arts." re: Patti Murin to Star in TARZAN 'Tour'

What a crazy time for this super talented gal...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTI

She's quite a talent, and I thought Tarzan was quite good (not great, but good) so I'll definitely be booking a ticket to Atlanta.

I've seen Patti as Kira, as well as her usual role, and she's great. I'm happy that she got the role in Tarzan, which if nothing else will serve to enhance her prominence. I wish it were a better show, but beggars and choosers and all that crap . . . And Congratulations to Patti and Curtis!!!!

I actually really enjoyed Tarzan (more than The Lion King) so I'm excited I just wish they would be doing a stop in the area. I'm so happy for Patti!
