ROTFLMAO. I think I know who you're talking about. I think I must have talked to you...

were you at the stage door on umm...::thinks, thinking doesn't work, gets calendar:: Nov 12 I think? It was a Saturday night...that's when John's tarnishing of the playbill occured I believe.

Carol Kane NEVER comes out. The only reason I have her autograph is because I went backstage and she was coming out of her dressing room. She's not a very pleasant person.

YES! What did you think of Joe? I think he's great and he's so sweet, considering the shoes he has to fill I think he really does a great job and I love his singing voice...and he took the high note of Dirty Rotten Number which Norbert understandably rarely does anymore so that was a special treat.

Hahaha...were you next to the woman(she's on BWW, I'll let her reveal herself) or near her? Do you remember a short girl w/ curly hair coming out of the stage door w/ Greg Jbara and a group?(me) I chatted at the stage door for a while on the left side and...was either there for or heard about the Lithgow tarnishing, I forget if that happened before I came out.

You weren't the person really excited to meet Sherie and then upset to find out you couldn't take a picture with her were you? I definitely remember her.

I wouldn't fault anyone for taking a little nappie between shows. Did you ever think that perhaps they were up early to go to: the gym, a voice lesson, an audition, an interview? When you're carrying a show and have the wind knocked out of you, you need to recover. Also, it's possible that some have meetings or errands between shows and can't stop to talk. Don't take it personally. I would say that if an autograph or a conversation is really important to you, go to an evening show.

I saw Producers at a matinee and Brad Oscar came out rather quickly. Hunter didn;t come out b.c he was getting a massage and so John Treacy Egan was extremely nice to take my playbill back to Hunter for him to sign. Thanks to both of them for taking their time! Most of the Hairspray cast will come out at matinees as well.
Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.

Even funner(I like this non-existent word) is well I'm in pit but you could be in anything...actually sleeping on the stage.

I was the one really excited to meet Norbert and Sherie and then I was disappointed when Norbert wasn't in for the evening performance!
Question: Will Esparza win for The Homecoming? BobbyBubby: I hope so. If only for the mental health of many people on this board.

Oh sorry but...Joe's still really good.

I asked about the Sherie thing b/c we felt really bad...when you or whoever wanted the pic w/ Sherie left she was at the other side and took pictures. We seriously tried to call back the girl but she was gone.

So this probably doesn't happen often, but I saw a Wednesday matinee of Sweet Charity back in late August and Christina came out and signed everyone's autograph...

Of course there was a seven year old girl there who, when she found that Christina wasn't coming out, started to cry. Five minutes later, Christina showed up...so I think someone told her. Whatever, lucky for me.

Didn't mean to prove anyone wrong, and I guess I didn't because I bet it was a one time thing...just causing trouble! :)
The key to the mystery of a great artist is that for reasons unknown, he will give away his energies and his life just to make sure that one note follows another... and leaves us with the feeling that something is right in the world. ~Leonard Bernstein~

ROTFL OS!

Or someone else will see him in that random place and it will take you quite a while to actually see for yourself/believe her. Haha, still remembering me and then others pushing you guys into place to see.

I've gotten Raul's, Tim Curry's, and Matthew Broderick's. I know the first two are becoming more elusive, but is Matthew? That surprises me because it seemed he was even more accomodating since Nathan Lane always runs out.

tagiunagi: I was the one standing next to you - the one with the infamous Playbill! This is just too funny. You took that marvelous photo of Greg and I. (I posted it on the fan photos page.) I am so happy to have this opportunity to thank you for it!

wickedrentq is right - Sherie came out and started signing and then began posing with anyone who wanted a pic. We looked all over for you, but you had gone. I'm so sorry about that.

emo-geek: As for 'tarnishing' the Playbill - I had a rather unique opening night Playbill with exactly one signature on it - Joanna's. I was telling tagiunagi that I thought it might be pretty valuable just like that. On the other hand, I might just ask Greg to sign it, then I would have my favorite couple's autographs only on it. I had no more than said those words when John L. came rushing out the stage door. He went directly to me, pulled the Playbill out of my hand, and autographed it. I turned to tagiunagi and said "On the other hand...." She was very sympathetic about my tarnished Playbill and I reminded her that we were actually standing there, complaining about having just gotten John Lithgow's autograph. Now how silly is that?

Haha that's the part I remember Mamie. Now I think that happened Mamie before I came out right? I feel like I remember hearing the story but not being there for it.

Yeah Taguini that WAS you I too am sorry we did look for you for a little while re: Performers Who Will/Won't Definately Sign Autographs After Matinees

Yes wrq - you weren't there. I can't remember if you had even arrived yet and gone in. It was definitely funny.

It's still very special to me. I didn't realize until I had gotten home and was looking through it that Greg had signed it twice. Once on the front, like the others, and once on the page with his bio. He had written a little thank you note in there for me.

Yeah, hehe then I def remember hearing the story. Ah, I bought the poster that night(and proceeded to lose it), that might be why I hadn't arrived yet. And that was cute when you discovered the inside autograph re: Performers Who Will/Won't Definately Sign Autographs After Matinees
