Persephone on Tour???

On October 4th,Hadestown on tour had a new cast change which included Maria Christina Oliveras as Persephone. They did production photos and she did do shows but now tonight,Lana jean Gordon (I love her) is now Persephone AGAIN but on tour??? what happened to Maria and why such a sudden change??

Maria injured herself during one of her first few performances. She was supposed to return after 2 weeks but I guess she was not able to recover as much as she should've. It's a deceivingly physically demanding part. They brought Shea Renne back for those 2 weeks (Fate 3 and Persephone u/s during the first leg of the tour), but they could not keep her on since she is about to join the Bway company.

I’m seeing the tour for the first trine fairly soon so I’m curious if Lana is permanently replacing?

Lana's listed on the cast page, however, she recently posted she was at Chicago(Broadway) the other night. Looks like she started last night. Probably got flown in on Wednesday and had a quick put-in before the show last night.

In the Hadestown Facebook group, the tour’s stage manager said that Lana is supposed to be with the tour until around November 20th. I’m assuming that this date probably isn’t set in stone and could change depending on Lana’s availability and how quickly Maria-Christina Oliveras recovers from her injury.

Lana might be returning to Chicago in the winter, so maybe she's there if AFW is leaving by then? I wonder if Amber Gray would do the tour for a few weeks if needed?
