Posted: 4/2/14 at 10:12amHello all! Has anyone seen the current tour of Peter and the Starcatcher? Was just curious as to how the cast was in comparison to the Broadway production, if there was any tour exclusive merchandise, etc.?

Ben Schrader was the highlight. I didn't find Molly or Peter to be quite as exciting on Broadway, but it's still a fantastic show.
(Can't remember any merch exclusive to the tour -- sorry!)

Posted: 4/2/14 at 2:27pmJohn was fantastic!!!! Felt the influence of Christian Borle, but he made it his own. He was also very friendly and gracious after the show at the stage door.

Posted: 4/2/14 at 7:58pmI also saw it in LA and John Sanders was my favorite. Not having seen it on Broadwat, it's hard to compare but i loved the production and the cast seemed uniformly good.

Saw the original cast on Broadway and again in LA: I found the obc to be much better than the touring cast. So many jokes fell flat in LA. Maybe it was just the audience, but they just weren't funny in LA. John Sanders was the highlight of the entire cast. Ben Schrader also stood out but most of the cast were rather forgettable. I still loved the show, but the cast just wasn't as good.
No tour exclusive merch. What was offered on the website and on Broadway was available on tour.

Posted: 4/2/14 at 11:16pmI saw the tour. In short, I hated it. Not my type of humor. I thought the performances were disappointing all around with the exception of Black Stache. If you are not into the Monty Python-esque humor, I do not recommend this.

Posted: 4/3/14 at 4:39pmI caught it in San Francisco last year. While it's true the cast is not as strong as the broadway production (The actors as Ted, Pentriss and Slank probably compare the worst), it's Totally worth seeing. The Smee and Astor are VERY Good and the central trio are very well cast. John Saunders is terrific, especially.
