I am slightly apprehensive about posting this, but some of you may enjoy it- and it would have been posted anyway... so here it goes,
The Hairspray Blog received an exclusive clip of "Miss Baltimore Crabs!"
I hope you like!

Posted: 6/15/07 at 6:39pmI was just thinking that I feel like I've already seen over half the film now, just from all of the online clips.

She's terrific - true star quality.
But I must agree - let's not go TOO crazy on all the clips from the movie. While we're all excited, I think that's one of those things that can really hurt a film - when you see too much of it, by the time you see it, the "thrill" is gone, because you already know what's coming and what it sounds/looks like.
Can't wait for the whole film!

I think it's a case of self-moderation; if you feel like you're getting burnt out on 'Hairspray' video clips, then don't let yourself watch anymore. If you're happy to keep going, then do so. ^_^

Posted: 6/15/07 at 7:08pmThe weird thing is, only one of my ear phones were working the first time I watched it (the other one flashes on and off) and I heard them doing their steps vividly, but I couldn't hear her singing at all. She was just mouthing the words. I tried it again, and realized what was going on.
It was awesome. - theaterkid1015

they have clearly supplied a f**ked up mix, and believe you me, it's a terrible mistake.
And, I might add, a f**ked up mix of the rough mix of the movie, which is doubly wrong.
Thank God the real version is orgasmic (I know, I just left the dubbing stage!)

Relax Marc Shaiman. We know we are in good hands with you. We all love your show and we all will be fighting over who gets to be first in line to see the movie.

Posted: 6/15/07 at 8:00pmUgh Ugh Bleh Yuck Ew. The OBC was way better. I think this performance is lack luster and the singing is gross. The OBC of this song blows this version out of the water.

Posted: 6/15/07 at 8:26pmThis looks great! I'm so excited for this movie, it looks like they did a really good job with making it a different experience from the stage version while not straying too far from it...
