I know this might be a silly/obvious question, but...
I've always wondered, How do they do the thing at the end where he sits in the chair and then when the chair is uncovered he's gone? Or, rather...how do they do it without making noise?

I believe the rentectives figured this one out not too long ago....i'll try and find the thread
he sits in the chair...pins up the black cloak and slids back into a space.. a "false front" presents itself. When Meg picks up the mask he's behind it all. That's on a good night...when it works well. Give or take ...that's about it.

I don't think it does. It's pretty taut after he clips it up.
a thin wire is pulled down that holds his shape. We've discussed this before, but he slides into the back. If Meg sat in the chair at the end she'd practically be sitting on his lap....
So where does the wire go when Meg pulls the cape back?
It automatically retracts. Magicians have been doing this trick for years....
