I'm going to the city this Friday and was thinking about seeing Phantom. Telecharge says that box seats are only sold at the box office, but does anyone know how much they cost???

Just don't sit in Box 5, dear, it's reserved.

They're not worth it at the majestic. The only reason to sit there is to be seen. You miss a bunch of the action. Front of the Mezz is a much better vantage point IMO.

yeah the box seats have a really bad view. I dont know why people always think they are good seats. Last year when a couple of my students were too fat to fit into the regular seats, the ushers moved them to the empty chairs in the boxes. For Phantom, I'd recommend the front mezz. You get the full "picture" of the stage, and you get to see the Phantom when he up above the stage, and of course the chandelier.

I actually sat in the stage left box once and it was interesting. If you've seen the show before it might be alright. I could see all the way backstage and also every member of the orchestra. It was funny to see some of them gossiping, reading, listening to iPods during the time they weren't playing. There was even one member who must have been allergic to the fake smoke used during the title song because they put on a little gas-mask! Distracting, but definitely interesting if you are a mega fan and want to see what goes on behind the scenes! I think the tickets were like $20-40...don't remember.
