The Phantom of the Opera, Lion King, and Wicked tours have been around for some time... I was wondering what the smallest house size (by seat count) the tree have played so far.
I have done some searching and it looks like the Capital Theatre in Salt Lake City is in the running for the smallest at 1876 seats.

Phantom has played at Vancouver, Canada's Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts, which is 1836 seats.
Wicked and Lion King both played at the larger Queen Elizabeth Theatre, though.

Looks like The Center was sold to a church. A news artical stated that the theatre failed to bring in many tours.
Lion King and Phantom have played the slightly larger Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto (2008 seats).
In the states it looks like a runner up to the Capital Theatre is Thrivent Financial Hall at the Fox City Performing Arts Center in Appelton Wisconsin. They have 1964 seats without pit seating and have played host to all three.

What's the largest a tour has played. I'd imagine it to be one of the fox theatres.

Both Fox Theatres have over 4600 seats. I think the one in Atlanta had more.

The Fox in St. Louis has a capacity of 4600. The Fox in Atlanta tops out at 4678. Both could seat well over 5000 in the hey-day of great movie palaces.
The Fox Theater in Detroit retains it's original seating capacity:
"The Fox has 5,048 seats (5,174 seats if removable seats placed in the raised orchestra pit are included). It is the largest surviving movie palace of the 1920s and the largest of the original Fox Theatres. The Fox was fully restored in 1988."

Would a sit down production and a Broadway tryout count? Both The Phantomof the Opera and Wicked played the Curran in San Francisco which, according to Wikipedia, has a capacity of 1,667. That's extremely intimate relative to most touring houses.
