I'm just satisfied that "Cats" isn't the longest-running show anymore.

I think its sad that a show that has become such a lackluster production will be celebrated for its greatness.

Gee whiz, am I the only one who is actually GLAD that this show is going to be the longest running show on Broadway? Good God! We should be content that the longest running show isn't that piece of crap CATS anymore...

I happen to really dislike POTO and care nothing about CATS.

Excuse my cliche, but quality, not quantity!

Awww... I'm glad that POTO has come this far. You've got to commend them for running for so long...it's a rather difficult feat to accomplish. Besides, I'm sure that the production has inspired many people (including myself) at one point or another. So congrats POTO! :)

I never understood lit candles emerging from a pool of water. Great effect but makes no sense

I agree with the others who said that if the public sees shows like this, chances are that they'll want to be into more Broadway musicals. Isn't that what we're striving for? Heck, this show was THE show that got me into Broadway, and now i'm a Sondheim Fan (SITP or Sweeney todd is my favourite) and a fan of The Light in the Piazza (See my user name, DUH!) and many other shows as well. If it weren't for this show, we wouldn't have as many theatre fans. I wouldn't be on this board.

Although, when I saw the show for the second time in July, it lacked a certain... OOMPH! to it. I still enjoyed seeing it, and will see it again once the closing date's announced.
