Ok. I just found out today that I've heard a lyric wrong for all these years. In "Think of me", I've always thought that Rauol sang "What a change, you're really not a b!%@h" but instead its "not a bit."

Am I the ONLY person that thought this for 8 odd years?

Yeah...I definitely thought that when I was little...but I soon learned otherwise.

Yep, it has always sounded like that. I'm still not fully convinced he's not saying that. After all, he is talking to Brightman.

"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."

haha Matt_g that's awesome.

I never made that mistake......I also grew up extremely sheltered and had probably never heard the word b**tch before I heard Phantom.

Okay so maybe the first time I listened I might have though "What did he just say???", but I had the libretto right there so it's not like I wasn't following right along... c'mon people...

I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought that. For a while it was ingrained into my memory, so whenever I sang that line (whether with company or without) I would say what it sounds like, not what it actually is. I got over that hump, though, and have moved on to singing it correctly. Oops!

And CATS, my silly CD didn't come with a libretto, so there!

Just had a flash of a smiling Raoul (Patrick Wilson) singing that part to Christine (Emmy Rossum) under Joel Schumacher's direction....

Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

Good, I'm not as stupid as I thought. But I seriously think that IS what he said...
