If I rush a different show on a two show day would I be able to get back to Phantom and have a chance for a standing room ticket?

They only sell standing room if it's sold out. I don't think Phantom is in such high demand that standing room sells out that quickly.

Thank you. With knowing this has anyone done it and if so what time did you go to the box office?

I don't think Phantom has sold out since the early 90s, so chances are nobody has done standing room since then. You can get a ticket for less than $45, just get a seat.

The SRO at Phantom absolutely sucks, the overhang takes up everything. Your better off entering the front row $40 lottery which is not that hard.

Do they really? I was under the impression SRO tickets were only sold when the rest of the house was sold out.

Phantom don't usually sell out but I think the box office is not so strict - they start selling sro maybe starting when 90% of the seats are sold out. I went last week Monday literally two hours before curtain and was still able to get a sro. Yet I really do not recommend the sro for phantom... the majestic theater sro only has metal railings (that do smell strongly of metal) and as a person who can literally memorize every little detail of phantom I found it quite agitating to stand through the whole thing. As TheThread Master mentioned, you will be better off entering the lottery (which is not that hard to win for phantom)
