I won lotto tix for Phantom but my friend can't make it. Does anyone want this extra ticket for tonight? $28
So when I couldn't get anyone to go see Phantom last night a gentleman at the Majestic box office gave me a sheet of paper for "Past Dated" tickets. That was very nice.
Anyway, since when James Barbour is only doing 4 shows a week? I was very surprised that he doesn't do any of weekend shows. Phantom has 3 others listed in Playbill.

Damn! I saw the show twice last month! Wish I could've missed out on Barbour!
Who is the alt Phantom?
And did you see Ali Ewoldt or an alternate?
Ali was on as Christine. Rachel does Wed and Sat matinees.
As of Phantom:
Paul Schaefer is Thurs nights
Jeremy Stolle is Fridays
Laird Mackintosh is Saturdays. So I guess he does 2 shows a week. And Jim Weitzer plays Monsieur Andre on Saturdays Also Carlotta is alternate on Saturdays too. Satomi Hofmann plays her
I don't think this is the case with having an alternate schedule for anyone other than Christine. Phantom likes to print extremely detailed playbills when people are out, and that may be why yours was so specific.

Yes- this is only for the current week, he has some time off. He normally plays 8x a week, and doesn't miss very often.
Interesting. Is Phantom the only show that changes playbill every week?
Anyone know about Thursday matinee schedule? I'd like to see it, but do not want to see James Barbour.
There is no alternate Phantom. You'll need to look at the @understudies tweets or keep an eye on Jeremy Stolle and Laird Mackintosh's tweets and instagram posts.

You can't go wrong with either of these gentlemen. I've seen both in the role and found them far superior to James Barbour. Their characterizations and vocal performances subscribe to the Michael Crawford school. And Mr. Stolle adds just a teaspoon more madness.
