1776 - one of my favorites! Love to see this revived. Am I impractical?

Salmon leap from the womb of the white sea you look on; they are calves, they are lambs of good color, in peace without slaughter.

I don't think the Bush administration would much like to see a revival of 1776. It reminds us too much of what the government is supposed to be. Adams and Jefferson would freak at what's going on in the name of the Constitution. For that matter, I bet JC would too.

Well, it has been just a few years--1998--since the last revival, but I love 1776, too.

Well, it's not exactly a revival, but... we're doing a production of "1776" at the historic Fraunces Tavern in downtown NYC, opening this Friday: four performances (June 3, 4, 10, 11) with a possible extension. Ordinarly, I'd tell everyone to come see it, but since it's a dinner & show package for $75, I don't think many folks will be able to attend re: Philadelphia: 1776 Sing along?

But if the ticket price isn't too steep for you, you can get more details at www.frauncestavern.com.

Hey!

Here's the scoop on 1776... we did not go this weekend, but it's a program that's running in Olde City all summer - looks like a lot of fun!
