I wish I could go, but there's no way with everything else going on. If anyone goes, please post a review.

I was thinking about it. Just checked online for hotels in Philly and saw some reasonable rates. I'll decide tomorrow.

Yeah, saw it.

The song line-up is stupendous.

Almost worth slumming to Philly.

Just kidding!!!!!

I'd love to go just to hear them sing SAY IT SOMEHOW re: Philly Pops with O'Hara and Lazar I wish they had gotten a chance to play opposite each other on Broadway.

EponineAmneris, Kelli and Aaron played opposite each other in The Light in the Piazza for a few months. Aaron started in September, Kelli left the show in December of last year.

AH, OK. Thank you, DottieD'Luscia re: Philly Pops with O'Hara and Lazar I am glad to hear that. I adore LITP, Kelli & Aaron, but I am not very quick with remebering the show's history... yet re: Philly Pops with O'Hara and Lazar

That's ok. The only way I remember that is Kelli came back from vacation for one day for Aaron's first performance and saw them together at Kelli's last in December.

I saw Lazar in On The Town at ENO last year. He was incredible! His voice is just so beautiful and full. And he is pretty pretty as well!

Was looking at the set-list, it's a shame he isn't doing anything from OTT, his Lonely Town was heartbreaking.

It has a great line up of songs.

I was going to go, but between finances and the threat of rain, I decided not to make the trip in from DC.

They were awesome together last night. You could tell that Aaron and Kelli were a little unsure of the stage protocol with Peter Nero, but it was kind of cute. They didn't know if they were "allowed" to speak to the audience between numbers. I mean, it's clear when you see Nero on stage with the Pops that it's HIS show and he's in charge. He did not really engage either of them, so they pretty much came on and off stage in turn and together when they did the duets. They both were in excellent voice and looked fabulous. Kelly wore a WOW of a form-fitting black cocktail dress and 3-inch stacked black and white pumps. Aaron, who now has a beard, was in a standard tux. We sat in the pit, one row removed from the stage. They are each so beautiful to look at, but unfortuately at the Mann, the closer you are to the stage, the worse the sound is. So it's always a trade-off there between seeing and hearing. They closed with a medley from Little Shop of Horrors then left the stage. Nero brought them back, but didn't offer them an encore. Instead he had the orchestra play their traditional Washington Post March closing and that was it. It was a great evening of entertainment, but I can't help but think that Peter Nero somehow held them back. He, of course, played an overlong, overindulgent, overimprovised version of "A Boy Like That" from West Side Story. I think it left the audience wanting more of the guest artists. I know I did.

Glad to hear they had a nice performance. I remember reading the program list and thinking hearing them singing Little Shop would be a) really random (since it's a show they probably won't ever do) and b) pretty cool.

Aaron with a beard?

I imagine he looks fab that way, too!

O'Hara needs to play Nellie Forbush in South Pacific at Lincoln Center.

I'm just saying.
