Piano Bar / Broadway show tunes

Hello all. I'm headed to your neck of the woods from May 29 -- June 1st (I made it for Fleet Week!)... Anyway, During my first trip, I had heard of a piano bar that offered Broadway show tunes or was it a karaoke bar that has a show tunes night? In any case, I'm interested in seeing such a place.. Would someone let me know of those places? I think there's a place close to the Oscar Wilde bookstore... Well, I can't wait to get there. I'll be staying at the Da Vinci on W. 56th St. Thanks, Roman in Austin, Texas

P.S. I did try to do a search, but wasn't getting anywhere.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

It may not be there anymore, but look for a place called Marie's Crisis, off 7th Avenue.

I'm going to guess the place you heard about was Don't Tell Mama's on Restaurant Row.

Don't Tell Mama's is great. Nice and small.

The Duplex is also a lot of fun.

Marie's Crisis is at 59 Grove St. off of 7th Ave. Take the 1 train to Christopher St. Exit the subway station on the extreme left walk straight to the next block and make a right and it's about 50 or so feet in. It's a small but fun place and the pianists know almost every song.
I killed the boss, you don't think they're gonna fire me over a thing like that!!!!

but, make sure you go to Marie's Crisis later on (Probably Saturday evening) because it's the most fun then. Try to go after 10:30pm because then Dexter starts playing and HE knows every showtune.
