News Flash! It hasn't been called the Miami Performing Arts Center for months now (get on the boat, folks!). It's been renamed the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts.

Seeing "The Light in the Piazza" next Saturday night as my first attendance to this gorgeous new venue. Never cared for this show and after all the reviews and comments, I'm definitely not looking forward to seeing this tour.

But hey...we're getting Chita and "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"! Whoo-hoo!

I can't wait until the tour gets to my stop next February. I'm really excited about Elena and David (the picture from Say It Somehow looks amazing). Seeing a Margaret Johnson who isn't Vicki is a little jarring, though.

Yes, yes, Carnival (another example of commerce naming theaters)...but check your own link - you'll find that their internet address is STILL Miami Performing Arts Center and it is still widely referred to as such. Eventually, the Carnival name will catch on...but to many people who have struggled through the whole mess of developing this new center for years, it still sticks in the mind as the Miami PAC (and is still so referred to within the business).
