Wow that is pretty ugly. I don't remember the audience being able to see the inside of the boat.

I kinda like the way it looks, taken out of context of the show and all....i guess with the all smoke/fog on stage, it would be impossible to see what it looks like...

Of course the audience sees the inside of the boat, it rotates and becomes the bed for Christine in the Phantom's lair during "Music of the Night".

I'm sure the pillows are only there because it's such a quick change when the boat becomes Christine's bed. I actually always wondered how they get all those pillows there in a few seconds.
It makes sense.
