The word "illegal" no longer applies to anything relating to Carrie: The Musical. Every theater fan has at least one copy or source to see the show.

I seriously doubt that--the novel wasn't a Japanese novel (and in fact many Japanese people had issue with the miniseries based on it if not the novel) and didn't it only run 50 performances? I dunno--Japanese tourists LOVEBroadway musicals its true but I just don't see a huge rush for them to go to one based on a complex British (?) novel based on their culture
