Yes, I am a shill for WLIW...I am one of their regular volunteers... so last night they told us that they will be repeating The Pirate Queen special that they originally showed this past Monday.
The cast will be on tape from Monday, but the pledge break will be live with more tickets to the show.

Didn't you read this board's FAQ? You're not supposed to admit it when you're a shill!
Do you know if this rebroadcast had been planned all along, or does this mean that WLIW was pleased with the audience response and fundraising results from the first broadcast?

Did not know that it would be rebroadcast till last night.
Because there were tickets involved they cannot rebroadcast unless they get more tickets or have left over tickets
The response on Monday night was phenominal!!
Trust me, we had no tickets left that night!
We were even getting questions about the show on the phones last night even though another show was being pledged!

Thanks for sharing all this info. Shills are under appreciated on this board.
I wasn't able to watch the broadcast, although I hope that the strong response WLIW got might prompt channel 13 to also show this. (I think I can get access to channel 13's signal.)
Was there any other Pirate Queen merchandise being hawked, or was it just tickets provided for a specified level of pledging?

gemcamera - I read (on a blog) that the cast was told it would be shown soon on other affiliates. Can you confirm, or do you think they misunderstood and meant this rebroadcast that you are informing us about?

No merchandise....just tickets.
We had 4 dates for tickets and they went so fast!
Not sure what the dates will be with the new pledge event.

Posted: 3/15/07 at 10:31amWell this is exciting news! Thanks gemcamera for the information. I could tell that the documentary would sell alot of tickets. I think it would be a mistake to not air this on a wider release. I'm sure the great response will push it to other affiliates soon. Crossed fingers!

Have not heard about any other stations...will try to find out during the day.
You might try PBS.org and that is the main site that is supposed to have info for all stations in the US.

I ran this past Rob first...he said it was okay to put it up.
This is what WLIW sent out this afternoon...still does not have any information about any other station though!! My guess is once the other stations see how great this went over, they will broadcast also and the show will get a lot more publicity!
