RE: Benedum & Heinz Hall
Some very intimate shows have managed to play those cavernous beasts to great effect, while some very big shows fell flat.
RE: Byham
I always considered it a small theater. Oops, it's capacity is 1500. Small compared to the other two, monstrous compared to most Broadway houses.

Yeah, and "Sweeney" is playing Heinz Hall.
Although, it is a symphony hall, so...maybe.

Posted: 4/22/07 at 1:23pmI'm surprised that "Drowsy Chaperone" is the only one playing two weeks. "Lion King" has only been here once before and that was for almost a month. They could have squeezed another week out of us.

"The Lion King" is actually here from Jan. 10 until Feb. 17. Subscribers are seated from the 15-20 though. So it's actually here for over a month.
And "Drowsy" is only here for one week.

Posted: 4/23/07 at 6:30amI'm subscribing, but I can't understand why they would put Sweeney at Heinz Hall. It's going to eat it up like it did Spelling Bee. It may have eaten up Sweet Charity as well, only I can't recall because I think I fell asleep during that one.
