Time for me to get a season subscription:
"My Fair Lady" - September 18-September 23
"Twelve Angry Men" - October 23-October 28
"The Lion King" - January 15-January 20
"Sweeney Todd" - January 29-February 3
"The Drowsy Chaperone" - February 26-March 2
"The Wedding Singer" - April 8-April 13
*hates Pittsburgh for getting Sweeney Todd*
Is it coming anywhere near you, wonderfulwizard?
Well, I live about an hour from Philadelphia, so Pittsburgh is *kinda* close to me, but it's FAR too long a drive. Hopefull another theatre will be getting the show. Why can't Sweeney Todd come instead of Mamma Mia! or Wicked for the third time?
Haha, I would just have to complain if Wicked would come again instead of Sweeney.
Oh cool, I'm still not sure if I'll be seeing Sweeney, or if I'll just keep the memory of having seen it on Broadway...

Naturally, this happens after I've essentially moved out of Pittsburgh...figures...
Has there been any word on who is going to be in the tour of "Sweeney Todd"?
friedrich, how do you know Avenue Q's coming? It may possibly one of their "specials."

I doubt you'll be getting Q as a special, they'll use Q next year to get people to buy/renew subscriptions.
Yeah, that's what I was just thinking.
From the looks of it, it doesn't look like we're even getting any specials...unless they'll announce those later, if any.
Wow, I am envious.
The closest big city to me is Des Moines, Iowa and their 2007-2008 season consists of Twelve Angry Men, Avenue Q, Spelling Bee.
Just added into the season, they must have forgotten:
"Avenue Q" - November 20-November 25
I'm getting a subscription FOR SURE tomorrow! Haha, this has to be the best season we've seen in a long time.
Ugh...Not pleased.

Why Lion King again? Ugh. Sorry but I wouldn't waste my money on that show again. So boring.
Very happy about Sweeney, though. I've already seen Avenue Q so we'll have to see. My Fair Lady is a nice choice as well.
The thought of THE WEDDING SINGER on the same stage as SWEENEY TODD is mind boggling.
The thought of "Sweeney Todd" in any of the hosues that Pittsburgh tours play is mind boggling. They will swallow that show whole.
Yay.

Is it playing at the Benedum? If it is, bad move. Thanks for bringing that up. I didn't think about that when I first read it.
Either Heinz Hall, Benedum, or Byham. All three are just too big, but the Byham might work.
My hope is that it will magically fall into a sewer and never appear again.
Naturally, I will be buying cheap seats to it and complain the entire time.
"Sweeney" will be at Heinz Hall.
"The Wedding Singer" will be at the Benedum.
Every show except "Twelve Angry Men" & "Sweeney" will be at the Benedum, those two that are not are at Heinz Hall.

And that, my dear, is why I love you so much.
Really though, all the houses in Pittsburgh are way too big for Sweeney. And I don't think Wedding Singer will do well in the Benedum either. Maybe the Byham but the Benedum is way too big.
Is there still no word on the Sweeney touring cast?
