Jeremy's doctor recommended he go to Bangkok," the insider says.
I need the doctor's number! Maybe when I get low sugar he can send me to Hawaii.

Is it me or is his wig a little askew in that photo?
Wow, Humbug, do you spend ALL DAY looking for reasons to hate Jeremy?
And that info is from a gossip web site (REALLY reliable). So what if he's got a new girlfriend? They didn't say he was dying.
When mentioning his doctor, do you always have to put quotes around it, like it's not true? The guy IS a doctor. He may suck, but he's a MD.
Is all of this to make Raul look better, because he's just as wrong for standing on the stage and making unprofessional remarks.

I want it to be true! I never in my life heard of a doctor sending someone to Asia for anything!

I suppose the doctor also wrote a letter instructing him to attend the Golden Globes, right?
And you know, theaterdiva, not everything that is critical of Jeremy is said to make Raul look better. I think that Jeremy's lack of respect for the producers, director and co-stars of the production and his eventual bailing out deserves to be ridiculed for the immature behavior it is. And getting a doctor whose credentials are insignificant when he could have gotten some of the best doctors in the world at any major teaching hospital in NY speaks volumes to me.
Raul (for all that he seems to insert his foot in his mouth on occasion) at least seems to work hard and give his best - at least every time I have seen him. Let's not overlook the fact that he is one of the people who has had to clean up after Piven - I am sure that he and Moss are called upon to do a lot of extra rehearsals because of the change(s) in the cast. I can't help but think that this whole episode compares blindingly to the amazing rapport that the HOMECOMING cast had - six professionals working together and enjoying the experience.

That entire thing was aimed at Humbug.
Excuse me for being nasty.
But life intersects and sometimes I just get sick of the whiners.
I understand how you and your fans LOOOOVE Raul, but it stinks on both sides of the fence.
Jeremy isn't any better than Raul at this point.
Are you all happy now?
Maybe he was inside...

Theatrediva, You forget that it was reported that before Piven left the show he was talking to actors in LA to see if they could come out to replace him. Furthermore, he said that he had an illness which is strange to have in the first place as a way to get out of the show. Secondly, while he was in the show there were reports of people seeing him party at NYC's finest hot spots. Now, if the guy were sick do you think he would be doing any of those things? I don't. It isn't that this forum is full of Raul fans who want to make Piven look bad. We don't have to make Piven look bad he did it himself.
I know that place. I've never been there, but all clubs in Bangkok are death traps. They have no capacity limits, and the one I was last at had one door (literally) and a few hundred people inside. I'm not at all surprised this happened.
It seems that Jeremy Piven is the new Randy Quaid: persona non grata in the Broadway community. from Roman in Austin, Texas.
