Planning for trip next March/April#1

Hello!
Had a great summer trip to NYC this year and coming back from March 29th-April 4th 2011!

Just wondering when new shows usually announce their Rush/Lotto policies or whether there are any of the following I would need to book tickets before I got to the city (i.e are there any that are unlikely to have any sort of Rush/Lotto/Discount Code/TKTS). I know it would be speculative but Im not as sure on the NYC theatre scene as the London one. Do shows tend to offer Rush during previews?

Anything Goes
Wonderland
Catch Me If You Can
How to Succeed...
Book of Mormon
Spiderman

(Will also be catching Scottsboro and BBAJ if they are still around).

Also, is Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo with Robin Williams likely to have started previewing/performances by the time we arrive?

Shows want as many people as possible to buy full-price tickets, so they often wait until a few days before previews begin to announce any sort of rush or lottery. Anything Goes is a Roundabout production so that will definitely have ruch tickets. The rest it's hard to say one way or another.

Bengal Tiger starts March 8th.

Glad that Anything Goes will have rush, Couldn't believe the cheapest advance prices were around $90! Guess it will just be down to luck with the others.

Great news about Bengal Tiger, think that will definitely be on our "To See" list as my mum and I have been massive fans of Robin Williams for years, + neither of us have ever seen a straight play on Broadway (We have been in the summer the past 3 years where there has been hardly anything on!)

As Theatreguy mentioned, Anything Goes will have a rush. Roundabout generally has a $21 general rush for their shows. If my experience with Sondheim on Sondheim was typical it was not that difficult to get a ticket even later in the day. Of course I don't know what kind of response Anything Goes will get. The balcony seats for Scottsboro Boys are not that bad in price, even without rush. $49 including fees. I am seeing it on October 27, front row of balcony. Will let you know what kind of view it is. If memory serves me from the help you have given me on London shows/theatre, you prefer a closer seat, but you are not anti balcony. The rest may have more luck with playbill and broadwaybox than waiting for their rush to be announced. As you get closer to their openings, may see discounts offered.

Haha POL, Already done Sister Act 6 times and Priscilla 5 times in London.

Thanks for your info Artman. I certainly don't mind getting up early to go queue for Rush tickets in NYC (did it for Memphis/Night Music last time and got fabulous seats), so will probably do the same for Anything Goes depending on what the policy is.

I sat in the Balcony for [title of show] and the Lyceum and yer it was fine, I was about 4 rows back or so. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for discount codes!
