Does anyone read plays as an e-book? I am looking around for electronic cersions of some recent plays and finding most scripts aren't available on Kindle or iTunes. (For example, it seems Oslo and Sweat are available on Kindle, but The Humans and Indecent are not.) Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find newer plays available as an e-book? Thanks!
i would imagine, if Kindle doesn't carry it, it doesn't exist as an ebook. It's up to the publisher to make it available, not the seller.
If the play is published by Dramatists, you can (sometimes) purchase an ebook directly from their site. It's slightly complicated, but not impossible.
Here is The Humans:

Indecent isn't published yet from DPS, but it is listed there as a manuscript, which means eventually it will be published from them. When that happens, check to see if they have an ebook.
The best place to get a play script is always from the publisher. But play publishers are, in many ways, behind the times. It seems obvious e-scripts will eventually be a common thing, and when they are I suspect it will be the publisher's websites that offer them. One publisher that's on their game is Playscripts (www.playscripts.com) - they offer almost all of their titles as e-scripts. Of course, that's of no use to you if the title you're looking for is with Samuel French or Dramtists, etc.

I believe the Indecent ebook is slated for late July unless something's changed.
