Hello Broadway World:

Long time lurker, first time poster. I need suggestions for a play and figured this might be a good place to get some ideas.

We're looking for a great comedy for two exceptionally strong actors, one man and one woman. There can be more than just the two characters, but we'd like to keep it small-ish and want to find something with two powerhouse roles for our leading man and woman. A revival of something that hasn't been done on Broadway in a long time would be great.

Durrenmatt's THE VISIT has a great leading man and leading lady role (especially leading lady). But it has a medium size cast.

Barefoot in the Park (one of my favorites!) Comedy Romance

Five characters, the lead husband and wife, her mother, their crazy neighbor (maile) and the telephone repair guy...two short but funny scenes.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
