Guys,

I have so many playbills and programs from Broadway and various off-Broadway houses that I don’t know what to do with them?

Is there a market for these to sell some and make a little money?
Toss them / recycle them?
Donate them somewhere for a future BCEFA flea market?

I’d say most are from 2011-present

I have a signed Helen Mirren The Queen one, and The Anarchist signed by Patti and Debra Winger, I think a Jake signed one from Sea Wall / A Life. Random stuff.

Help!

Selling them on eBay is such a chore I donated my entire Playbill and souvenir programs almost a decade ago.  I had vintage ones from the 1920s all the way up to the 2000s.  I kept all my vintage Bob Fosse shows, Streisand in WHOLESALE & FUNNY GIRL, and donated the rest, which was about 1,000 Playbills and hundreds of souvenir programs.  For decades I not only collected them from shows I saw but added classic shows before my time.

My Playbill clutter problem was solved by a former cleaning  lady who threw out about 2,000 of mine during my recent hospitalization. She said they "were full of bugs".

Please note that I identified her as my FORMER cleaning lady.

WERE they full of bugs? If so, that could've been a serious infestation on your hands

Sounds like you're living in filth and squalor.  Sounds like an episode of HOARDERS!

I don't know. I was hospitalized for 6 months. However, she had my phone number and should have called before discarding them

I wouldn't say that. The Playbills were in a 6' tall bookcase in the living room and the heat was on while I was gone--which reached into the warmer months. When I was finally released in July, my house was sweltering. THAT may have caused the infestation--if there was such a thing.

I also have a TON of playbills and I’m trying to decide if I should bundle them for people, or just go through them, figure out how much they’re all worth and sell them for one bulk price on eBay.

The problem with selling in bulk is shipping. It would be best if you could somehow arrange to sell/give them away in person.

Laura Heywood (BroadwayGirlNYC) runs a charity shop on eBay that takes donations of large collections of memorabilia. She’s easy to find and contact  on pretty much any social media.
