Posted: 4/7/13 at 8:10pmI need to come up with some kind of storage system for my playbills which are currently in a bookshelf. I've searched old threads for this topic and only found suggestions using storage boxes. I like the idea of the playbill.com binders, but they are a bit pricey, especially for the deluxe one. If anyone has the cheaper playbill.com binders, do you like them? How many can realistically fit in one? Has anyone found a source elsewhere for binders that will fit at least 15-20 playbills? I have about 200 playbills currently. Thanks for your help!

It's a bit of a tight fit, but it works, and you save a lot of money compared to playbill.com's binders, but those are great if you want to invest in them.

Posted: 4/7/13 at 8:39pmI use the cheaper Playbill.com binders and they work great. They keep them crisp and in good shape and the thin metal rod method of securing them works very well. I can usually get 15-16 in each, no more than that. The black ones look sharp. I have them on a bookshelf and just keep a sheet of paper or thin cardboard on top of them to keep the dust out.

I use the biggest 3-ring binders at Staples (5 inches, I think) and plastic sleeves. I keep them vertical and place groups of playbills per sleeve in chronological order of NY trips when I saw the respective shows. (I also put postcards/flyers/ticket stubs/other items when applicable) for future framing or other art projects with the matching Playbills. Since the binders don't fit so well on any bookshelves of mine, I stack them.
Yeah, I'm OCD about my Playbill collection. :-P. Hope that helps!

Posted: 4/7/13 at 10:16pmI buy the Playbill Deluxe binders for all my signed Playbills. The rest I just throw in a storage bin alphabetically. No one is interested in them but me, so I have no reason to waste time organizing them or spending extra money on storage.

Posted: 4/7/13 at 10:51pmThere are mini binders now with mini sheet protectors that you can get at Staples. They fit the Playbills perfectly. It's about $7 a binder a $4 a package of sheet protectors (I believe there are 20 of them in a package, but I could be wrong). I normally wait until they are on sale, and I buy a few of them.
