Ok--I don't know if I dreamed this (and why I would I have no idea), but I think this afternoon I looked at Playbill.com and saw a headline that said "Von Essen and Cuccioli to star in Dorian..." or something close to that...
I actually kind of remember because I made a mental note about it because I didn't know Cuccioli was doing it prior to seeing that headline...
Now I was just looked at Playbill.com (as I look at all the theater sites before I go to sleep--lame--I know) and I scrolled down and noticed the headline only says Von Essen. So I click and Cuccioli isn't anywhere in the story.
What gives? Anyone know? I really don't think I imagined this, but if no one else here saw it, maybe I did?

I had entirely the same experience. I saw it earlier today, and now its entirely different. i thought I had simply seen the article someplace else, but just couldnt remember where. thank you for affirming my sanity!
I would be very excited if it was something pertaining to Dorian Gray, an amazing book which I'd love to see something done with, I wish that headline was still up there because I'd have liked to have read it.
Wow. You are NOT nuts.
This makes sense now because I brought it up to a friend today who didn't remember the article mentioning Cuccioli at all, but I did. I was out all day and only read the article this morning. She had read it later in the day and we ran into each other in the early evening, and that's when I mentioned the article.
I smell a conspiracy theory.
Would this have anything to do with J & H being cancelled in San Jose, CA?
How they taunt us.
The first Playbill.com article was incorrect. Robert Cuccioli will not be in this production of DORIAN. There is now a corrected article on Playbill.com. Robert Cuccioli was involved in DORIAN in earlier readings and stagings, playing the role of Henry Lord. http://www.playbill.com/news/article/87713.html

Robert Cuccioli was involved in several of the readings of Dorian as well as the world premiere in Denver. The Dorian site had been carrying photos of the former cast, perhaps that lead to the confusion. He will be performing as Macbeth at the Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey in October.
Playbill.com totally messed up. They've done it before, they'll do it again.
