I had lunch with one of my younger friends yesterday and I knew that he and his fiance had seen the new production of FUNNY GIRL, so I dug out my Playbill from the original production and brought it with me.

We had a great time going through it while waiting for our meals to arrive. My friend was fascinated by the ads for alcohol, cigarettes and LP vinyl albums.

I was amused by the fashion ads from 1965.

Time flies, doesn't it?

I have all the Playbills and souvenir programs for the original FUNNY GIRL - all the out-of-town stops, national tour (with Marilyn Michaels) to London.  What’s interesting is the souvenir program sold during the out-of-town tryout contains rehearsal photos.  Once it arrived on Broadway, the program contained official production photos.
