"Wit" as a play as a telefilm- brilliant.

My 3 favorite shows
If we are talking straight plays, (only)-- many have mentioned musicals as well- I would say "The Laramie Project"
I think the big one, for me, (if we're only talking straight plays) is The Normal Heart. I don't think I realized it at the time, but in retrospect, that is the play that made me want to get involved in the theater.
Forgot to mention "Journey's End"
Blasted by Sarah Kane seriously impacted my thoughts about theatre and what its purpose is and how that best can be achieved. I've never looked at a play the same way after having seen that.
Mamet's Oleanna was in the front of my mind for about a week after I read it. That play seriously challenged me.
August: Osage County
The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?
Death of a Salesman
Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brothers Size
How I Learned to Drive- Paula Vogel
When it comes to musicals:
The Last Five Years
Follies
It's a musical, but seeing Passing Strange really changed me- it really made me appreciate life and what I've got.

Three musicals absolutely changed my life. Cabaret, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Assassins. They inspired me to take path different from the one I had always imagined for myself.
The plays that have changed my life are The Normal Heart, Doubt, and The Leutinent of Inishmore. And even though I only read it, Frozen.
The first time we went to Manhattan, we saw the The Boy From Oz...being in a Broadway Theatre and watching my first show made me cry for twenty minutes...I have never been the same...
We have been back five times and I hope we can go again this year.
The first one I ever saw which, was I believe, Oliver @ the Imperial. It changed my life.
