Hi all, I'm potentially over-thinking as I tend to do, so I'm hoping you can help me figure this out. My parents are getting me tix to Plaza Suite for Christmas--I've never been to this theater and even thought I've looked at the pictures on the "A View From My Seat" website, I'm wondering just how critical it will be to my enjoyment of the performance to have orchestra seats. I'm a wee bit of a seating snob, but I feel guilty having my parents spend over $300/ticket for me to have orchestra seats. They absolutely don't care and are excited to get me an actual tangible gift but I just can't let them do it. I'm thinking I should have them get me the "dress circle/second floor" tix, and then if the feedback here is that the sound quality will be terrible, I will simply check the second hand markets prior to the show and do a sell/buy closer to the date of the show. For those of you who have been to the Hudson, is it a small enough venue that there are no truly bad seats? Or, am I going to have a hard time hearing what's happening by not sitting in orchestra seats? I've never seen SJP on stage and am beyond excited to see her with Matthew even though I find him a bit annoying. Thanks in advance!
