Thank you guys! Your all so sweet. Your right you shouldn't have to appologize for disliking something but it seems many people on this board get a little defensive and offended by people disliking a show that so many like or are 'obsessed with,' but you guys seem cool about it so- thanks

Posted: 5/8/05 at 7:20pmQ..I may disagree with you... but i have no reason to shoot you... People who bash people for not liking their fav shows need medication.... and lots of it... that should hand it out at the Gershwin at intermission...ooohh theres a marketing idea! put the meds in green icecream and sell it!!!

Stop apologising for voicing your opinion!! That's what this board is for!!!
And I totally agree about Wicked...I was a Wicked Addict for awhile, but i'm proud to say it's been 4 months since I stopped thinking Wicked was the only show worth seeing.

Posted: 5/8/05 at 8:13pmThis board is so funny, though, when you think about it. Do a search, there are some shows that if someone says, "I wasn't too crazy about it," it's like Armageddon. Yet, if it's a show like "Wicked," or "Brooklyn," it's totally okay to, not only dislike it, but bash it. Ah, to each their own.

Posted: 5/8/05 at 8:15pmI saw it last week and posted some of my thoughts on the staging... if you put a gun to my head right now (don't get any ideas) I'd say it was a good show - not great - but very enjoyable... there are some rather large holes in the plot, but I actually thought the book to Wicked worked better than Wicked, the book - my problem at this point is that usually, when I see a show after obsessing about it for months, said show fades into the background in favor of something else - that's not happening (I'm still singing "No One Mourns the Wicked" - I've gone as far as I can go with this show, and it's time to move on... but it's not happening! (maybe it was a better experience than I thought!!!) Bottom line is - post again in a couple days and let us know how you feel...

Posted: 5/8/05 at 8:24pmThanks for the review :). I personally love the show, but that doesnt stop me from seeing others. I have seen about 50, out of all I enjoyed Wicked the most...I dont think its the BEST but for me, it was the most enjoyable...and after all, isnt that what theatre is all about? :)
