Hi, all. Heading up to NYC for the Half Marathon on March 19 and (of course) building a theatre trip around it. Here's what I have tickets to already:
Friday evening: Come From Away
Saturday matinee: Open Slot
Saturday evening: No show because I'll be heading to bed early to get proper rest for the race
Sunday evening: Spamilton
Monday evening: Open Slot
Tuesday evening: Sunday in the Park with George revival
Wednesday matinee: Dear Evan Hansen
Wednesday evening: Significant Other
Thursday evening: Open slot
I'd love to maximize my theatre going and fill those three empty slots, although I know it's difficult to find shows that perform on Monday. Am open to anything - Broadway, Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, or any outside the box experiences as well. Initially ruled out Great Comet based on my research and reading feedback from many who say the plot is muddled and mediocre, but then when I see the NYT say it's "the best show since Hamilton", it makes me waver. I'm still on the fence about that one. Also have eyes on tickets for The Public's "Gently Down the Stream" with Harvey Fierstein, but since I'm not a member, I have to wait until January to try and get tickets.
Is there anything open or that will be open by mid-March that I'm overlooking that is a must see? I welcome and appreciate any feedback!

You should definitely not skip Great Comet.
Since it seems like you're leaning toward musicals, you could attend the first preview of Anastasia on Thursday.
Gently Down the Stream sounds great. I agree with not missing The Great Comet either. I'd recommend looking at The Front Page, Heisenberg, and Sweeney Todd revival (if you can get tickets).

Valentina-- this is for March. Heisenberg is already closed, and Front Page will be by then.
