All Shook Up.

Lennon is about John Lennon and the different phases of his life, and I think they use all his music from the Beatles to the Double Fantasy album. It sounds good, but I'm not making any huge expectations for it.

I'd say "All Shook Up", but I hope that it turns out better than "Mamma Mia!" though!

I think the new musical based on the music of Madonna out next season will be the new hit un-original musical...

What about Papa Pia? When The Mamas and the Papas replaced the dead Cass with Pia Zadora to create a lavish Vegas styled review of their greatest hits while trying to find out what happened to Makenzie Phillips' real father?

Hopefully Lennon will carry more weight than Mamma Mia and provide us with beautiful music AND an artistic and political statement.

If a musical based on Madonna is indeed in the works, it will be AMAZING. Her songs could easily be structured to tell a narrative tale.

Is this how low you've all sunk and how far the dumbing down has gone? Are we really trying to predict the *next* Mamma mia? The first one has no business making it on B'way let alone the *next*. What lofty aspirtations as far as "quality" goes.

We had this thread a while ago, but I think I said I would love to see a musical on all MJ, Beatles or U2. How awesome would that be??

U2 musical, I would love to see!

And I think Lennon's supposed to have some Beatles music...the only source I've read on it only said that Double Fantasy is going to be in there.

The next MAMMA MIA?

THE SHAGGS: PHILOSOPHY OF THE WORLD...God only knows when it will open in NY.

I know what he next one will be because I am producing it. I cannot tell you what it is because I have not secured the rights yet.

Let's hope there is nothing opening that's comprable to Mamma Mia - that way, there may be some hope for the future of Broadway. If they're all Mamma Mia-esque, this season is doomed and I will be very angry.

Knowing the music, Lennon should definitely NOT be Mamma Mia-esque.

All Shook Up does have the mass potential to be that, though.

When is that supposed to come out? Not that I'll be getting tickets or anything (HA! Fleeting dream...), but I do want to keep my eyes open about previews and stuff (possibly will buy a cast recording as well).

There are people who like to knock Mamma Mia! but I think it's WORLDWIDE success speaks for itself. Judy Cramer and company know what they're doing. Just my 2 cents.

Anyone see the new Broadway cast yet?
