"Pool Boy" at Barrington Stage Company

Has anyone here seen it? I was considering going, partially because I really enjoy several of the cast members, but from what I'm reading of the reviews the show doesn't seem to be in the greatest shape. It's a bit out of my way and so I was just looking for some opinions of the show before I decide to go.

I was thinking about taking my daughter because it is fairly close (30-45 minute drive) and because she's in love with Jay Armstrong Johnson, but we've got too much else going on before August 8th for it to probably happen.

And if it's not very good, it makes it even less likely.

I have a friend who saw it (albeit one whose tastes I don't always agree with) who said that it was a really fun time, so I'll probably see it at some point before it closes.
