Terry Saunders?

On the Tony Awards website, it is mentioned that actress Terry Saunders died. Does anyone have any info or can you locate an obituary? She appeared in numerous theatre productions. Perhaps best known for her role as "Lady Thiang" in the film "The King and I". I had long wondered what ever happened to her. Thanks!

Meeting Lauren Bacall

Mar 21, 2012 — 12:17:26 PM

I saw her in "Woman of the Year" on Broadway and waited for her to come out of the theatre. I was hoping she would autograph a photograph and a People magazine cover. There were just a few fans waiting. She signed autographs for everyone and was very pleasant. When it came my turn, I told her I had also seen her latest movie "The Fan" and how much I enjoyed it. She said something about the timing of the film's release and the murder of John Lennon had hurt it. She was very nice to this fan an...

Jun 6, 2011 — 11:15:55 AM

Ex-Army CB sues Patti LaBelle in wake of beating, demotion, deployment By Matt Hinton In his best-laid plans, Richard King was set to leave West Point next year as both a starting cornerback on the Cadet football team and a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Instead, in a span of a little less than three months, he's been inflicted with likely career-ending injuries, busted to private and thrust into the queue for active duty — all, according to a lawsuit filed this week, the consequences of...

Has the memory of a beloved performer in the past ruined a show for you ?

May 1, 2011 — 12:34:52 AM

I saw "Driving Miss Daisy" with Frances Sternhagen years ago. She was wonderful!! Later the tour came to my town with Julie Harris. She of course was wonderful too!! When the film came out with Jessica Tandy, I could not make myself see it and I have not seen to this day. Friends of mine thought I was nuts. Glad you asked this question as I've thought about how I have felt for years. I've loved Jessica Tandy in many movies, and I'll always be a big fan, but my special Miss Daisy's will always...

Vanessa Redgrave's 'Driving Miss Daisy' absence

Nov 11, 2010 — 10:53:35 PM

Maureen Anderman is Vanessa'a understudy. I've seen her on stage before and she is wonderful. I wish I was in NYC to see this production. I had the pleasure of seeing Frances Sternhagen and Morgan Freeman years ago and later Julie Harris and Brock Peters in a tour- all were wonderful and truly unforgettable! Here's wishing a speedy recovery for Vanessa and wishing more solid work for Maureen Anderman.

FOR COLORED GIRLS review thread

Nov 11, 2010 — 10:46:08 PM

I'm seeing it no matter what any review says- all that talent, there has to be some surprises for us fans. I absolutely love Loretta Devine- when I first heard that she was going to be in it, I thought maybe this would be her year- she is so talented and always wonderful in performance- wouldn't it be great if she were to at least be nominated for her work!

Marion Marlowe

Nov 11, 2010 — 10:36:06 PM

Marion Marlowe is 81 years old and lives today in New Mexico. She was a wonderful performer. I've read alot of accounts of the Arthur Godfrey firings- they all vary- did he fire all that talent because some had started to become 'Big' names? Or was he just crazy?

Anyone know how Marian Seldes is doing??

Aug 27, 2010 — 7:39:37 AM

Thanks to all who responded! I am hoping Marian is fully recuperated from her surgery and back on the stage soon. And I am so anxious to see her in the new movie "The Extra Man" when it finally comes to my little local movie house. Blessings all!!

Anyone know how Marian Seldes is doing??

Aug 24, 2010 — 12:19:53 PM

I'm wondering how Marian Seldes is doing- I know she had surgery on her shoulder, and haven't seen alot of mentions since she received her honorary Tony and her receiving her replacemnt of the Tony she won in 1967 that was stolen. Anybody out there who's lucky to live in or around NYC know anything? She is a special favorite of mine. Thanks

Who is your favourite EVITA?

Aug 24, 2010 — 12:15:55 PM

On my very first trip to NYC I had the great opportunity to see Patti LuPone- she was wonderful! Later a tour came to my town and it starred Florence Lacey- she was very good and remember both performances fondly. I've been lucky to see Patti in several other plays and a concert- I sort of feel I have watched Patti grow up thru her performances. She is GREAT !!
