Take your guesses!
Well DUH! It's an opera based on RENT.
Puccini!
I friggin' love blasting it and scaring people.
I'm not really a huge Rent fan, but yes, I do happen to love La Boheme!

ha! I'm just a mere fan of the show.. and I can tell you all about La Boheme. It is one of my favorite operas.

I mean, do you think RENTHEADS know what it is? I mean, no offense, but they aren't the brightest!
I'm not a Renthead but I know what it is. Honestly the true rentheads are much smarted, not the fake ones on here...

I'm not talking about the smarter ones. I mean those who saw the movie and then had to ask what AIDS is and why Angel died!
I saw that happen in front of me in theatres!

Hahaha I mean no offence but what defines a fake Renthead?
Broadwaynerd101....a new incarnation of sock puppet?
A few pointless attention seeking bulletins already. Knows who coolkid is, but only joined 5 days ago. Hmm.
Why? This is antagonistic and silly.

How did you know they were Rentheads and not just, say, people at a film?
Better yet, why say anything?

Because the first amendment is Freedom of speech!
I have seen what coolkid has posted.
Better yet, why are you all here?
Just because one has the right to do something, doesn't mean one should.

Well, they are mostly the people who say, "OMGZ adam pascal is soo hawt! Like OMG!" or people who LOVE the movie and call themselves Rentheads when they have only seen the show once or something. I can go on and on but I don't want to.
Now I have the seen the show 15 times and I can not call myself a Renthead, I don't want to call myself a Renthead. I simply say I am a huge fan of the show. Now Rentheads were mostly the original fans of the show. The people who slept on the street for it. Saw it a bunch of times and love the show so much... Blah Blah Blah. There are people who have seen it over 100 times and still don't call themselves Rentheads. I'm sorry but Coolkid i not a renthead neither are many other people. They are POSERS!

I hate when people are like " You've only seen Rent a couple times, you aren't a true fan."
(the term renthead is a whole different story and I prefer not to use it.)
Rent is my favorite show and it means an incredible amount to me and it's not my fault that I can't afford to go see it 100 times. That does not make me any less of a fan then others who are fortunate.
Twenty Seven?
doesn't everyone know what La Boheme is?
How many John Lloyd Young fans could pick Frankie Valli out of a line-up?

Why is there always this estigma around loving RENT where you guys instantly assume that anyone who does love it is young and un-exposed to anything else? I'm sorry, it just makes me so angry because... I'm almost 19 years old. I like to think that I'm pretty smart and that I know quite a bit of theater. But you know what? RENT is my favorite show, it will always BE my favorite show, and it's not because I don't KNOW anything else or am unknowledgable, but because I think it's an absolutely incredible, powerful show.
Don't get me wrong, I understand where this estigma CAME from. There ARE certainly some young kids who just saw the movie or whatever, became obsessed with it, and now like to think they "know Broadway" because they love RENT. But honestly, there are many, MANY "RENTheads" who love it because it's ACTUALLY good, and because, even having been EXPOSED to other things, it affects them in a profound, emotional way, And I wish that people on here would respect that, and stop assuming that you have to be some silly little kid for RENT to be your favorite show. You dont- it's ACTUALLY an extremely powerful and amazing show, and I hope that now that it's closed, people around here can start respecting that more :)
(for the record, yes I know that La Boheme is the Puccini opera on which RENT is based )
"and I hope that now that it's closed, people around here can start respecting that more :) "
Keep on hoping, sweetheart. Don't see that happening

Estigma isn't a word.
With some accents it is.

...woops. How is it I've ALWAYS thought that was how you spell it and never learned otherwise?? ahaha. For real, I've definitely USED that word quite a bit before and no one's ever corrected me on it! (so thank you for that actually lol)
ANYWAY, you know what I meant. STIGMA. There :)
