I would like to see Audra do something calmer in a more limited run.... I would love to see her do a quiet play....

Perhaps a revival of "Marvin's Room" (as the character Meryl Streep played in the movie)...

PS -

I do think that this revival (until it won the Tony) got the short end of the stick, and its merits far exceeded its faults. It was strangely directed, yes, and arbitrarily rewritten, yes... but they made it a 2:45 musical where it wasn't before, and it works as an overall piece. I think what made it stunning for me was the score (even with all its cuts and rewrites it is still astounding music) and the cast --- this is one of the more all-around talented casts I've ever seen on broadway.

Audra and Phillip Boykin both gave stunning performances.
I saw the show 4 times and everyone was 100% all the time.
Great orchestra also.

having said that I want her to do a quiet play...

I would still LOVE to see her do:

- "Amahl and the Night Visitors" (maybe an evening of her starring in "Amahl" and then "The Medium"!!!!)
- "Trouble in Tahiti" (she'd be stunning)
