I found this on a Disney thread that featured other pics, the Playbill, etc.

According to someone who went to the Denver premiere, it will be available 2/12/2008.

When I saw it in Denver they were saying it was a "fall" release. I would think that they would want it out before Christmas.

Geeez- What's taking them so long to release this? I was also hoping that this would be out sometime before the holidays. But yeah- when I asked in Denver, they also said it would be a fall release. Darn.

I would think it'll be out at the Lunt-Fontanne in time for the holiday season, and it'll probably be released to the masses in February, or whenever. Like BEAUTY and the BEAST and THE LION KING, I have a feeling Disney'll follow suit and release the original cast album, timed perfectly with the 'brand-new-muscal-just-hitting-Broadway' factor. Just my humble opinion, of course.

That is the Cd cover they were giving away in Denver with an order form on the back. Its not a hard guess to see what the art work will be.

They were taking pre-orders tonight--- release date listed as
"Winter 2008"- Was told Jan/Feb

I preordered it in Denver and was told I'd receive it in the Fall. I just got a postcard from Disney Theatrical Merchandise though that says:
"Due to unexpected delays, the anticipated release date of the Broadway Cast Recording of The Little Mermaid is now January '08. Please allow 4-6 weeks for shipping."

I was bummed, understandably. I hope it doesn't take longer than that.
