Has anyone heard this? If not, it's the best worst musical ever. It truly sets the bar for "It's so bad it's good." I'm addicted to it.
A Lyric Excerpt from early in the show. Princess Di singing about first meeting Prince Charles:
He's such a man
He's so different from all of those boys I've seen around.
He's such a man
He's more charming and worldy than anyone in this town.
And he treats me with respect and dignity
and he's always a real gentleman.
He's the manliest man and the grandliest grand that the world has ever know
He's such a man.
Prince Charles:
She's quite a girl
She's so different from all of those girls I've know before
She's quite a girl
So young yet so insightful
Way beyond her years
and she listens to me when I speak to her
She's charming and jolly and fun
Attractive and sweet and no boyfriends to speak
Yes! She might be the perfect mate.
A lovely girl...
it goes on...it's so wonderful.
Wow. I think that's all I can say. Wow.
It has a website with some samples. If you have a subscription to the Real company's streaming audio player thing, you can download the whole album. I found it by chance. I think you can download the song posted above for free.

Tom D'Angora does a number from it in his show...and "He's Such a Man (Reprise)" is on his CD. Its a brilliant brilliant show. The March of the Nations is a personal favorite of mine...just curious how you heard about it.
It was browsing the musicals on the RealRhapsody. I was looking for less common musicals...I have an obsession with having the most muscials as possible. I have 240 right now on my computer but I'm always looking for more:)
Unfortunatly I haven't listened to half of them yet.
Was it? That would be awesome.
OK Well My grandma's best friends was in the original production of Princess Diana-The Musical. In fact, my friend Kristi Petersen whom I did Camelot with a few years back, played Fergie. Didn't see it but it heard mixed things about it; mostly bad but here and there I heard it was entertaining. Oh Karen Javitch (writer of the show)
now THAT is tastless. So tastless it's funny.
But sometimes i just wish people leave the poor dead woman alone.

Are you serious? Or is this just a joke?
I am totally freaked out
It's not so much the topic of the musical that strikes me as queer, it's the lyrics that are so wonderfully bad. I think most would be hard pressed to intentionally come up with worst lyrics. I love it so much.

I've ordered both this, and something from footlight that's a Diana musical in Dutch, but I don't think they're the same....neither have arrived yet
