Is is closing as "Cancel the last several shows" or closing as in "the scheduled run is over"?

Maybe they don't want the US tour going up against the movie.

The tour is shutting down so they can start a non-Equity tour.

PROCTOR’S ANNOUNCES "THE PRODUCERS" POSTPONED

TOUR RESCHEDULED

SCHENECTADY, NY--- Late Wednesday afternoon, Proctor’s Theatre was informed that the upcoming tour of the Broadway show, "The Producers," would be postponed until the 2006-2007 theatre season. Due to conflicts in creator Mel Brooks' schedule, it was decided to postpone the tour until he was available to oversee the project. Booking agents have assured Proctor’s another weeklong date for "The Producers" in the 2006-2007 season. The rescheduled date for 2006-2007 will be announced in the future.

why do susan and them need to working on the tour? they dont still work on the b'way show do they? I mean couldn't the stage managers put together the show and stuff?
