Producers rights?

Does anyone know when the rights will be available for The Producers? The mti site still says it's restricted, but it lists upcoming productions. It's the same with Les Miz. Are the rights available and they just haven't updated the page yet?

Sometimes they release rights first to professional productions and later to community theatres and schools, so that could be the case. Also, restricted might mean you can't do certain things, like advertise for your performance, or if the tour is still going on, your show can't be near a stop on the tour. Just call MTI and ask for sure, they are very nice and helpful there (except they will never quote prices without a contract, but other than that :O)

Here in Australia it is already being presented by community theatres.

They're available for regional productions, but not everyday community theaters.

"Restricted" means "not available to EVERYBODY - send in an application and find out if it's available to you!"
