i agree, she's beautiful and talented but as Fran? umm... NO!

Kerry Butler would be a great Fran because she still looks pretty young and naive. Plus i think her voice would better fit the score.

It would be so much easier to take the opinions in this thread seriously if the people who were crying foul at the woefully mis-cast Kristin Chenoweth, weren't also suggesting Amy Adams and Scarlet Johanson as better choices for the role. Please. Mis-cast or not, Ms. Chenoweth has a phenomenal pedigree. Be thankful that you have even had the privilege of seeing her perform.

I read an article stating that Anne Hathaway was at one time up for Kristin's part. Anyone know why that didn't happen? She seems a little random at first, but I think she could have been great...

^anne hathaway and sean hayes did a reading last year or the year before.

Wife and I saw it last night, thought it was great. Nice standing O at the end. And the owl lady was hilarious! Sean and Kristin worked very well together!
