MusicSnob, I hate that I do agree with you. I remember stating that the current production of South Pacific (original revival cast) was the "closest thing to theatrical perfection I'd ever seen". In fact, I refused to see it again for fear of NOT still feeling that way -- if that makes any sense.

I'm not so sure that they all have GLARING flaws, however.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Once you strip it down, it becomes GLARING (in that sense). Not sure if I'm making it clear but you get my point! Hah!

On the surface, it is far from glaring. That's why people consider them "perfect"...

MusicSnob1: thank you for your post. I'm not being paid to promote, Memphis, but your comment amused me and gave me the resolve to let go of this thread. I'm very comfortable having enjoyed Memphis immensely.
