The Pulitzer is the more prestigious award, mainly because it doesn't have the commercial implications of the Tonys and Broadway. The fact they consider more than the handful of Tony plays that open each season helps to add to its prestige.

And I can't wait to read the HAMILTON novel.

I would love it if HAMILTON won. I think it's one of the best musicals of all times. But I fear this is one case where frontrunner status will hurt it. Plus as many people on this thread have established it is based on a great novel, right?

yeah like I would think Hamilton would obviously win but I know Pulitzer lately like to go for the oddball choice at times and Hamilton is such a Huge commercial success and a has seeped so much in popular culture that I kinda think that might put off Pulitzer voters but who knows we'll see.

Hamilton would definitely desve it though beyond the hype if you actually look at the writing and the lyrics, it's pretty masterful.
