Nice interview. I'll have to go see this cast when I go back to Chicago to pick up more of my belongings (Just moved to New York 4 months ago). Point of fact - the "Wicked" National Tour cast was in Chicago for 7 weeks, not 4.

Thanks for the link. Telly was a fabulous Boq, my favorite by far. He played it with such a sweet heart; I felt for him.

Telly is great! I ran into him on the street about two weeks ago before a show very close to the Wicked stage door. I had just lost the lotto and he was getting out of the a cab. I had won the lotto a week before, and told him how much I enjoyed the show. He was also nice enough to take a picture! A very nice person indeed!

Actors only "shoot out of stage door" when they assume that the people waiting outside are not waiting for them. If you wanted someone's autograph, all you need to do is ask. Most actors are more than happy to give one, and even chat with the fans of the show (especially with a show like Wicked - that owes a lot of its success to repeat customers)... but it is the job of the person wanting the autograph to STOP THAT PERSON before they leave. Most actors (I say most because some have been known to be rude and short at the stage door) love meeting their fans, but would never be pretentious enough to just start handing out random autographs randomly without being expressly solicited for one.

And... If he was afraid of people, he would have left using another exit.

He sounds like a sweet guy and he's got an awesome voice, but I listened to some of his songs on his website, they're pretty cheesy

Trust me---I know they only leave when no one wants there autograph. But there was no way I could have got to him. He was down the block in seconds. I was like "Telly!....oh"

hehe..but I'm sure he is very nice..I'll be there plenty of times..I'll meet him once :)

Telly is one of the sweetest guys around, and he's super-nice with fans. If he left in a hurry that day, he must have needed to be somewhere soon, that's all.
