Should I put some code in to assign a default subject or something since I see a bunch of you are just putting . in there? Some sort of subject is required so the 'Classic View' of the board works as well as the modern one, but I can have it default to something if you leave it blank?

I wonder if that ramble makes sense. Oh well,

Rob

Yeah, it makes sense if you read it slowly a couple of times Answer
A default subject would be nice if it can be done. It doesn't matter to me personally if I have to type in a subject but, there are those times when I forget and have to go back and feel almost on the spot to put in a witty or thoughtful subject line. That's a lot of pressure

yes, that would be a good idea, because even though I am not vulgar I sometimes catch myself writing curse words without knowing it. So your default would help those of us who accidently slip! yes

If no subject is entered, could you default to the original title of the thread? That would seem to make sense.

P.S. I personally like the Subject line. It makes it much easier to scroll through the entire thread quickly.

I don't always remember to put a subject... and usually I don't have one to put. Making it a default (such as maybe the original thread name) would make things easier

I was gonna ask about that, Rob! :)

I always get errors because I forget to put in the subject, then I have to click back and everything I typed is gone.

Maybe as a default put:

"Re: SUBJECT"

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Ok, if this works, it'll put in re: Subject You Were Responding to as a default.

WOO-YEAH it works! Rob's the best!

fyi though, for each additional reply it seems to add another "re:"

Great Soluiton, Rob! Defaulting to the specific message title in the chain your replying to should be very helpful.

Admittedly, Rex the Sheepdog, would have preferred REX: instead of re:
