Question About Madison Square Garden

Sorry if there's a thread discussing this, I searched and didn
t find one. I was wondering why it isn't a Tony Eligible Theatre? For that matter, why isn't City Center Eligible either?

You'd think it was from all the actors claiming in their bios to have made their Broadway debuts in A Christmas Carol and various other touring engagments that played at Madison Square Garden. I've seen a few bios like that and always found it odd since the Garden isn't an offical Broadway house.
