Question Mods.

Again, not trying to be rude just trying to figure stuff out haha. So you guys said that negativity against performers won’t be allowed or something along those lines.

So why has a thread attacking Amanda Jane Cooper’s performance of Glinda, been able to keep running this long?

I don’t understand it. Again sorry for the question.

We aren't attacking her performance. People are simply stating their opinions of a performer. Nowhere in the threads is there slander of her as a person, her mental health, or anything of the sort. Everyone should be allowed to post their opinions of performers without saying that they're "attacking" them. Lord help me.

I think they’re trying to draw a line between critiquing a performance and attacking a performer personally.

But Flyhigh, same could be said about Patti. Many users who were suspended stated Aisha was a better Anna. That’s not attacking at all.

Where does the line get drawn?

Whoever suspended the people who stated their opinion is wrong. As a Broadway community, everyone should be allowed to have their own opinions on performances. Obviously, not everyone is going to agree with everyone else. It's beyond ridiculous people are getting suspended for having opinions. The line gets drawn when people start attacking the performer, not the performance.

You just contradicted yourself. If we can talk about our opionions we can say that yes Patti has missed a ton of shows. That’s an opinion. Does the rules change, when you go after Amanda jane?

As you admitted in the last month that you often troll on here, you may not be the best judge of where the line should be drawn. Just sayin’. It also makes these threads you are starting seems suspiciously troll-y.

Fair enough. I would just like to say I don’t approve at what was said against Patti. I thought it crossed right into a personal attack. I was just curious on why an amanda jane cooper negative thread was allowed to be up for so long.

Lines are tough. I presume James Barbour, Jeremy Piven and Randy Quaid can still be criticized for their personal qualities. But, maybe not.... Walter Bobbie also received some rather heated commentary about his personal qualities recently.

My post was deleted in the "unpopular opinions" thread. Because it was......unpopular. That is where we are supposed to be able to be critical of something. How insane. Get it together Mods and stop allowing Broadway actors to censor the hell out of these boards because they threaten your bottom line (money). Thanks!
