Question about All the Way Tony nom

All the Way was nominated for a Tony for Best Play, but its director Bill Rauch wasn't. Is that a severe impediment to All the Way winning Best Play?

None of the directors of this year's Best Play nominees were nominated, so in that regard it's an even field.

This is actually the first time in history that all 4 nominees in the Best Director of a Play category are for revivals, so there's no precedent for how that affects the Best Play race.
